Guitar Player
was the exclusive media sponsor the Nashville Amp Expo, which took place August 21st and 22nd 2010 at the Hyatt Place Hotel. Here's a quick peek at a few of the products on display.

peaveybudda

In the Peavey room, there was plenty to take in—from older Peavey Custom Shop amps and Budda combo units to the newest member of the family—a Trace Elliot acoustic amplifier, part of a range of revamped acoustic amps hitting stores now. The TA-100, TA-200, and TA-300 models each have two channels, an effects section, six-band graphic EQ and Master control. The TA-400 boasts three channels, two effects sections, an eight-band EQ and Master control. The TA-200 at the show was equipped with four, 5-inch custom Celestion speakers and sat atop is sharp Trace Elliot gig bag, which is included.

egnaterEgnater brought its new compact Tweaker all-tube amp as well as its popular Rebel range to the Nashville Amp Expo. The Tweaker, which began shipping in the Spring, is a 15-watt dynamo running a pair of 6V6 power tubes and a trio of 12AX7 pre-amp tubes. The amp is a gig-hound’s dream combining affordability, light weight and a series of switches that can toggle the amp between vintage and modern voicing, hot and clean gain structure, tight and bright voicing, AC, US and UK tone controls and more. Egnater has received earlier feedback from players asking for more power and a foot-switchable gain control. This has lead to whispers that the company will be adding to the Tweaker family with a rumored two new models in the works and planned for formal unveiling at the Winter NAMM show next January.

fuchsFuchs Audio Technology showcased both its amp and pedal lines. The latest to join the amp line is the Mantis—a two-channel high gain beast that comes as either a 50-watt or 100-watt head. Channel One on the Mantis gives you an American-flavored, blues with attitude vibe, while Channel Two offers a scooped mid-range, heavy metal voicing. Both channels have Gain and Master Volume controls along with a three-band EQ. On the pedal front, Fuchs continues to roll out its Plush Pedals Replay delay range with three units currently available - the Replay True High Voltage Tube Delay, The REP-3 Tube Voiced Delay and the Replay Jr. A fourth unit is expected to join the family prior to year-end.

Queensryche Signs to Roadrunner

Queensryche has signed a multi-album worldwide deal with Roadrunner/Loud & Proud Records. The band's label debut -their twelfth studio album overall- is tentatively scheduled for a Spring 2011 release. Singer and founder Geoff Tate remains the creative nucleus of the band, which continues to make relevant, against-the-grain hard rock that entices fans, both new and diehard. Queensryche have been - and unquestionably remain- one of the most respected and innovative names in forward-thinking hard rock throughout the course of their nearly 30-year history. Since their inception over 25 years ago, Queensryche have sold over 20 million albums worldwide and have performed in over 22 countries. "We are very happy to be signing with Road Runner/Loud and Proud.

This is the rock label and a place where they are as excited about our music as we and our fans are," Tate said. "We are excited to welcome Queensryche to the label" stated Loud & Proud President Tom Lipsky. "They have earned global acclaim for their distinctive approach to music and we are confident of a successful partnership with them." Queenryche's 1988-issued album Operation: Mindcrime is universally respected as a classic concept release about rock, revenge and redemption. The album elicited comparisons to The Who's Tommy and Pink Floyd's The Wall and is ultimately regarded as one of the most important and essential hard rock records in the genre's expansive canon. 1990's follow-up, Empire, yielded a #1 single, the Grammy-nominated ballad "Silent Lucidity," which the band performed at the 1992 Grammy Awards accompanied by a supporting orchestra.

In 2006, the band released Operation: Mindcrime II, a scorching sequel to their original. The band then hit the road performing both albums Operation: Mindcrime and Operation: Mindcrime II back-to-back in their entirety in an incredible theatrical presentation throughout the year. The final performance was recorded at The Moore Theatre in Seattle that October and the Mindcrime at the Mooredouble CD/DVD release debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top Music DVD Chart and eventually reached Gold status. Experience Hendrix Tour Returns This Fall

Experience Hendrix, the concert tour that has wowed audiences revisiting the music and inspiration of Jimi Hendrix featuring an all-star line up of music greats will be re-launched within a single calendar year. The Experience Hendrix tour crisscrossed the country this past March for a string of sold-out concerts and will return with a new set of U.S. and -- for the first time -- Canadian dates this October and November. Featured artists performing music associated with the legacy of Jimi Hendrix include some of the best known and highly regarded names in contemporary rock and blues including Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Susan Tedeschi, Robert Randolph, Jonny Lang, Steve Vai, Los Lobos' David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas, Eric Johnson, Ernie Isley, Living Colour, Chris Layton of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble and The Slide Brothers a/k/a Chuck and Darick Campbell of Sacred Steel. Fender Musical Instruments Corp. is the tour's lead sponsor as was the case with last spring's Experience Hendrix tour.

Participating sponsors also include Dunlop Effects Pedals, Marshall Amplifiers and Mapex Drums. In terms of format, the tour offers multiple opportunities for performers and audiences to witness unique collaborations such as Steve Vai performing with Living Colour, as well as the tour's artists performing their favorite Hendrix signature songs including "Little Wing," "Fire," "Purple Haze," "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)," "Crosstown Traffic" and many others. As has been the case with previous Experience Hendrix outings, special guests are expected to sit in at many of the dates, making the concerts all that much more memorable for both new and veteran Hendrix fans. Past special guests have included Paul Rodgers, Joe Satriani, Hubert Sumlin, Buddy Guy, Carlos Santana, Robby Krieger and others. The tour's presence has been made known on national TV with Robert Randolph performing classic Hendrix on the Late Night With Conan O'brien Show and Jonny Lang doing the same on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Anchoring the tour is Billy Cox, the legendary bassist whose relationship with Jim Hendrix and his music dates back to the early 1960s when the two met while serving in the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division. The two bonded over their love of music and would later work together backing R&B acts on the "chitlin' circuit." They reunited when Cox was recruited to be part of the Jimi Hendrix Band of Gypsys as well as the ultimate iteration of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, performing at such landmark festivals as Woodstock and the Isle of Wight. Cox, who has been part of all previous Experience Hendrix tours, notes, "It's always a great thrill and honor for me to play Jimi's music for audiences now just as it was in the 1960s.

The Experience Hendrix tours have shown how timeless this music really is and is just wonderful that we've continued to get an infusion of new, very enthusiastic artists to participate and are able to offer the most wide-ranging Jimi Hendrix-related repertoire possible." Larry Rodgers of the Arizona Republic echoed Cox's thoughts in his rave review of one of this year's earlier Experience Hendrix shows, "It was encouraging to see fans of all ages, from teens to baby boomers who witnessed Hendrix's career launch firsthand, in the Mesa crowd. The show and that crowd made it clear that Hendrix's magical music will never die." Kenny Wayne Shepherd, a veteran of several Experience Hendrix tours remarked, "Jimi Hendrix's music has really inspired me to push the limits of my own music. He didn't observe any boundaries musically. He was an amazing player and a tremendous showman so I incorporated some of his showmanship in what I do." As far as having been part of the Experience Hendrix touring phenomenon, Shepherd noted, "It touches you on the inside and gets you fired up." The Experience Hendrix Tour is presented by Experience Hendrix, LLC, the Hendrix family-owned company founded by James A. "Al" Hendrix, Jimi's father, entrusted with preserving and protecting the legacy of Jimi Hendrix. Earlier this year, Sony Music Entertainment's Legacy Division and Experience Hendrix entered into a worldwide catalog licensing venture to make all of Jimi's extraordinary music, including classic albums, never before heard archive recordings, and filmed concerts available through all forms of media.

The initial release from the alliance was <em>Valleys of Neptune</em> bringing Jimi Hendrix back to the upper reaches of album charts throughout the world. This fall's Experience Hendrix tour dates will be followed by a second wave of Hendrix releases through Legacy including the 4 CD + 1 DVD anthology set <em>West Coast Seattle Boy</em> plus other key catalog titles. Launching in Pittsburgh on October 26, the tour will play nineteen markets over the course of three weeks including Montreal, Toronto, New York, Boston, Atlantic City, Detroit, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and other eastern and mid-western locales.

Jimi Hendrix & George Fullerton Inducted Into Fender Hall Of Fame

Fender Musical Instruments Corp. proudly inducted the Fender Hall of Fame class of 2010, which included legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix and longtime Fender employee George Fullerton. The 2010 class was formally inaugurated on Fri., Aug. 13 during the fourth-annual Fender Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony held at the Tempe Center of the Arts. Noted blues guitarist/singer/songwriter, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, performed in honor of Jimi Hendrix using a Fender Custom Shop recreation of the Stratocaster guitar Jimi sacrificed and immortalized in 1967 during the Monterey International Pop Music Festival.

Stevie Ray Vaughan is Gone but His Music Lingers On

I'm shocked to see that it has now been a full 20 years since Stevie Ray Vaughan and several others were killed when their helicopter, which they boarded after a sold-out concert, crashed into a hill on Aug. 27, 1990.  But, despite his untimely passing, his contributions to music were never (nor could they ever be) forgotten.

I first became aware Stevie Ray Vaughan -- like I did with so many other artists -- through watching MTV endlessly through the '80s. (This, of course, was back when MTV actually showed music videos, as opposed to the annoying reality shows they shove in our faces today. Do they even make music videos anymore?)

It took me awhile to really appreciate the kind of music he did, but I soon had to see that he clearly was one of the greatest guitar players ever. Even re-watching these videos of his songs after 20 years, his playing is nothing short of brilliant, and he strums that guitar with such amazing confidence that he makes it look almost effortless. I would definitely put Vaughan on a par with Eric Clapton as a guitar god, and many others have even gone out of their way to compare him to Jimi Hendrix. Is the comparison between Stevie Ray and Jimi justified? Absolutely!

Many Vaughan fans are celebrating this sad occasion by remembering him and honoring his unique style of playing the blues. KVUE News in Austin reported that central Texans near and far had come to visit the statue of Vaughan located by Lady Bird Lake to mark the occasion and honor one of the greatest guitar players ever. CBS News reported that Oak Cliff resident Jeff Castro is continuing the annual motorcycle tribute ride and concert he co-founded to commemorate Vaughn's birthday in October, and that many in Texas are still working to get a memorial up for him after all these years. Even John Mayer weighed in on his biggest musical inspirations in his blog:

"Stevie defined my love of blues music and my passion to spend as many waking hours as I could with a guitar in my hands. I never met him and I never saw him play live, but he changed my life forever. Stevie quite literally gave me a career in music."

Flood Gibson USA Guitar Presented to Slash

On the heels of a worldwide jaunt across the globe celebrating his first solo album release, legendary guitarist Slash was presented with a very special “first guitar” from the world’s premier musical instrument manufacturer and leader in music technology, Gibson USA. The story of the American icon’s recovery and resurgence from the May 2010 floods in Nashville was presented with strong testament in West Hollywood, California at the Key Club on Monday, August 20, 2010, where Slash was presented with the very first guitar to roll off the production line since the devastating floods hit Music City. The guitar, a Gibson Les Paul Studio, came off the production line in July, 90 days after the flood, and was kept on display at the plant for all employees to view prior to it being given to signature artist Slash.

Gibson Guitar was also an official sponsor of the Sunset Music Festival supporting the rock legend Slash on Thursday, August 26, 2010 during an official citywide proclamation in West Hollywood that declared it officially “Slash Day.” Slash was honored at a special tribute at the House of Blues on Sunset Boulevard for his extraordinary contribution to the rock-and-roll legacy which is the Sunset Strip. Gibson GuitarTown has been installed along the Sunset Strip with a prominent centerpiece of the exhibit being a ten-foot tall Gibson guitar sculpture uniquely themed “Slash.”

Jimmie Vaughan brings the blues and the ballads on latest CD

Musical inspiration for Jimmie Vaughan knows no parameters. He finds it in late bluesman Little Milton as well as sibling pop duo Donny & Marie Osmond.

Those names surfaced when Dallas-born Vaughan began selecting songs for his new CD, Plays Blues, Ballads & Favorites, a jubilant, jukebox-flavored retooling of blues classics, instrumentals and originals. Little Milton provided the creative crux for the project, but Donny & Marie came to mind when Vaughan decided to record "I'm Leaving It Up to You" with Austin blues belter Lou Ann Barton.

"As a kid, I had Little Milton Sings Big Blues," says the 59-year-old longtime Austin resident by phone. "He just recorded a bunch of songs that were popular blues tunes at the time, some old, some current, a lot of classic things. I remember that album because maybe only one was actually his song. So it was just a record for people to enjoy. So I just tried that." "I'm Leaving It Up to You," which had already been covered several times, was an immediate choice.

"I like that song ... I like the original. It has been No. 1 three times that I know of, maybe four. Everybody has done that song, so why don't Lou Ann and I do it? We could do the bluesiest version of that. She said, 'We can't do that. They'll call us the Donny & Marie' of the blues." This is what Jimmie Vaughan's been diligently doing for more than 40 years. He revitalizes the blues. Vaughan won't dilute the blues for commercial gain. He's most adept at taking a pure art form and giving it a retro-cool spin. In his hands, it just sounds modern.

The Fabulous Thunderbirds, which he founded with Kim Wilson in the mid 1970s, certainly brought blues to the masses without ever watering down its sonic impact. Vaughan recorded eight albums with the Fab T-Birds, the now-classic early discs such as 1979's Girls Go Wild and 1981's Butt Rockin' as well as 1986's million-selling Tuff Enuff, which features the Top 10 hit title track.

"A little bit after Kim and I started the band, we were having a good time playing around Austin in clubs," he says. "We became the house band for Clifford Antone's place. We loved that music, and that's what we're going to do. I'm going to be a blues guitar player, and Kim was a blues harmonica player. We were always on the road, always flying somewhere, trying to make a gig and another gig. It became crazy, and I drank too much, burning the candle at both ends, and it caught up with me. After a few years of that I had to get off the bus."

Vaughan's post-Thunderbirds work includes 1990's Family Style, the Grammy-winning duet effort with his late brother, the respected, beloved blues singer-guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. The subject of Stevie Ray is still painful for Vaughan. Next month marks the 20th anniversary of Stevie Ray's death from a helicopter crash. For Vaughan, the memory of his brother remains foremost on his mind.

"It's just a horrible tragedy that doesn't seem real to me still," he says. "I'll never get over it. I had to come around and realize that I'm here, and I have a life and I had a life before he got killed, and there's nothing I could do about it. So I decided to be happy." Happiness for Vaughan now centers on his family life. He's married with twin 6-year-old daughters. He also has two grown children. "I try my best to be around a lot more," he says. "If you want to be happy, you need a balance."

There's another source of constant elation – his guitar. For the kid who grew up in Oak Cliff, the six-string became a passion when he was 13. He was recovering at home from a broken collarbone, a football injury, when his father got him a guitar "to get me out of trouble."

"I was always the kind of kid that drew a lot of pictures, off in dreamland ... and I liked cars. I didn't want to do what people wanted me to do. When I found the guitar, it just felt natural. Within a couple of days, I could play a little bit. It was so much fun that I didn't want to stop," he says. "That's the way it still is. I play every single day. I still try to learn stuff, still finding music that I didn't know about. It was also a way out for me. If I play this guitar and I really get good on it, I can make records. I could have a way out."

Jimmie Vaughan loves retro clothes and vintage cars. He gladly tells us why.

The threads: "There was a time in the late '70s, early '80s when I actually decided I needed to look like I sounded. I like pleated pants. It's very '50s-influenced. I decided to dress that way because it's what I liked and it was different from what anybody else was doing at the time. It made it fun. When you're onstage and you look down and you like your shoes, you play better than if you didn't like your shoes."

The cars: "I've gotten into the hot-rodding and the custom cars, from the '50s and early '60s. I do body work, change the grille, lots of upgrading involved. Over the last 25 years, I've done several cars. We take five, six years to do a car. You find one and drag it home and start tearing it apart. We basically restore it. You go to swap meets and find original pieces. It's fun, and it's the same as the music, take the old and make it new."

Eric Clapton's 'Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010' Coming To Blu-Ray And DVD

Often credited as being one of the all-time greatest guitarists and known amongst his peers as one of the all-time greatest collaborators, the ultimate Clapton collaboration took place earlier this year at the Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010 on June 26 at Chicago’s Toyota Park. For one day only, Clapton gathered the past, present and future of guitar music onto one stage for an all-day musical event in front of a crowd of over 27,000. The third Crossroads Guitar Festival was a sold out, 11-hour event with all profits benefiting The Crossroads Centre in Antigua, a treatment and education facility founded by Clapton for chemically dependent persons.

Rhino Entertainment captured every note from that blistering summer day in Chicago and will release over four hours in High Definition on Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010. Fans around the world will have a chance to experience many of the festival’s greatest moments including performances by Clapton, ZZ Top, Steve Winwood, B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Vince Gill, Sheryl Crow, Buddy Guy, John Mayer, Bill Murray and many others as well as behind-the-scenes footage and candid interviews with the performers. Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010 will be available November 9 at retail outlets, including www.rhino.com, for a suggested list price of $34.98 (2-Disc Blu-Ray) and $29.98 (2-Disc DVD). This marks the first ever release of a Crossroads Guitar Festival on Blu-Ray.

“The Crossroads Festival is the realization of a dream for me, to gather a group of amazingly talented musicians to perform on one stage,” said Clapton. “The Crossroads performers are all musicians I admire and respect.”

Zakk Wylde of Black Label Society Interview

“GUITAR: The Instrument that Rocked the World” To Launch In Orlando In June 2011

The National GUITAR Museum today announced that its touring exhibition, entitled “GUITAR: The Instrument That Rocked The World,” will launch on June 11, 2011 at the Orlando Science Center in Orlando, Florida.

The 5,000 square foot Touring Exhibition will explore the history and evolution of the guitar—from lutes and lyres to modern high-tech instruments—and show how the instrument became the cultural symbol it is today. The exhibition will feature engaging, entertaining, and educational displays specific to the guitar, including historical artifacts, models, posters, video screens, interactives, and kiosks. Educational displays will feature everything from how vibrating strings create sound on to the electromagnetic properties of an electric guitar—and even address environmental concerns about how the wood used to make guitars has disappeared through the destruction of rain forests.

“The guitar is the most enduring icon in American history,” says HP Newquist, the executive director and founder of The National GUITAR Museum. It has been around longer than baseball, basketball, soft drinks, and sports cars. It’s hard to find anyone who hasn’t been affected by the guitar, whether as players or just fans of all types of music. And while this may be apocryphal,” Newquist adds, “it’s a widely held belief that the two most recognizable man-made shapes on the planet are those of the Coca-Cola bottle and the electric guitar.”

The Touring Exhibition will run in Orlando from June through September 2011. Additional venues are currently being scheduled.

About The National GUITAR Museum

The National GUITAR Museum, LLC (NGM) is the first museum in the United States dedicated to the history, evolution, and cultural impact of the guitar. Its Touring Exhibition, “GUITAR: The Instrument That Rocked The World” will travel to 15 cities over the next five years before becoming the basis of The National GUITAR Museum in its permanent home.

The NGM’s board is comprised of individuals drawn from the music, technology, event, and museum communities. Current advisors include guitar greats Steve Vai, Johnny Winter, Steve Howe, Liona Boyd, and Ritchie Blackmore. The Executive Director of the Museum is HP Newquist.

National partners who will be promoting and supporting the Museum and the Touring Exhibition include Channel One, Guitar Center, Guitar Player Magazine, and TrueFire Media.

Gibson To Reproduce Classic Randy Rhoads Les Paul Guitar

According to Gibson.com, the 1974 Les Paul Custom guitar that Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Randy Rhoads played on the classic albums "Blizzard of Ozz" and "Diary of a Madman" has been one of the most requested reissues ever. Now the Gibson Custom Shop has announced the release of this legendary axe. More information will be made available soon.

Jackson delivered the news at this year's NAMM (National Association Of Music Merchants) show (which was held January 14-17, 2010 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California) with the announcement of the Randy Rhoads (OZZY OSBOURNE, QUIET RIOT) "tribute guitar." In collaboration with the Rhoads family, the Jackson Custom Shop built 60 exact replicas of the first Randy Rhoads Jackson guitar, often referred to as the Concorde.

According to TheMusicZoo.com, Randy's tribute model is a direct replica of his original 1980 Jackson asymmetrical V-shaped guitar that he personally designed. He intended to call this body style the Concorde and it is widely regarded as the "first pointy guitar." The original guitar had been kept at the Rhoads family music school since his death, and they say it had not been out of the case in over 20 years.

Touring Guitar Exhibition

This would be pretty neat to check out!

Brought to you from http://www.zebramusic.com, your web site for rock guitar lessons.

“The guitar is the most enduring icon in American history,” says HP Newquist, the executive director and founder of The National GUITAR Museum (NGM).

The NGM’s board is comprised of individuals drawn from the music, technology, event, and museum communities. Current advisors include guitar greats Steve Vai, Johnny Winter, Steve Howe, Liona Boyd, and Ritchie Blackmore. The Executive Director of the Museum is HP Newquist.

National partners who will be promoting and supporting the Museum and the Touring Exhibition include Channel One, Guitar Center, Guitar Player Magazine, and TrueFire Media.

Joe Satriani New Album and Tour

Joe is still one of my favorite guitar players.

Brought to you from http://www.zebramusic.com, your web site for rock guitar lessons.

In 2002, legendary guitarist Joe Satriani performed the National Anthem for the Opening Day of Major League Baseball’s Oakland A’s.  Now, that historic season opener is being recreated, complete with Satriani’s stirring Anthem rendition, for the brand new Sony Pictures movieMoneyball starring Brad Pitt, based on the 2003 novel Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game by Michael M. Lewis.

Satriani will perform the National Anthem as he did on Opening Day back in 2002, keeping director Bennett Miller’s pursuit of authentic recreation.  Filming for Joe’s Anthem scene took place on August 3 in the Oakland Coliseum, site of the A’s home stadium. Moneyball is the story of Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane’s successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget, employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players using a modernized, analytical approach and assembling a competitive baseball team, despite Oakland's disadvantaged revenue situation.

Satriani’s 14th studio album, Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards, produced and recorded by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Metallica) and Satriani, has recently been completed and is set for release on October 5, 2010 through Epic Records.  Joe is joined once again by veteran Satriani bandmate Jeff Campitelli on drums, and newcomers, keyboardist Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa, Steve Vai) and bassist Allen Whitman (Mermen) also adding to the sound. Satriani’s classic sound is accompanied by a surprisingly rich texture of new material as well.  This 11-track album’s first single "Light Years Away" is destined to be a hit, with several other high energy offerings, like “Wormhole Wizards” and “Premonition.”  Satriani’s World Tour promoting Black Swans . . . will begin in this fall, kicking off on October 16 in Dublin, Ireland with the North American dates starting on December 1 in Atlanta, hitting cities such as Chicago, New York, Boston and more (a second January ‘11 leg TBA).

As a special bonus, U.S. residents can pre-order the upcoming album Black Swans and Wormhole Wizardsexclusively through Joe Satriani's website, and receive an autographed copy of the CD, a download of the new single "Light Years Away", and a special code allowing access to tickets for Joe Satriani's North American tour dates before they go on sale to the public (not all North American tour dates apply to this promotion). The ticket pre-sale is powered by Ticketmaster.com. You can visit www.sonymusicdigital.com/joe-satriani for more details on how to pre-order.

In 2009, Satriani joined with former Van Halen front man Sammy Hagar, former bassist Michael Anthony, and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith, to form the stand-out rock collaboration, Chickenfoot. After a highly successful U.S. tour, their self-titled debut album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America with over 500,000 in album shipments.

Over the last two decades, Satriani has traveled the world, playing to sold-out crowds as both a headliner and as founder of the all-star “G3” guitar extravaganza.  As one of the world’s most renowned instrumental artists, Satriani recorded Live in Paris: I Just Wanna Rock!  in 2008 at The Grand Rex Theater in Paris, France. The live two-disc CD and DVD was released in February 2010 through Epic Records and contained  such memorable songs as, “Surfing With The Alien”, “Flying in a Blue Dream”, along with recent hits like “Super Colossal” and “I Just Wanna Rock.”  Of his many solo albums, two have gone platinum and four others went gold, with 15 Grammy nominations between them.

Gibson To Reproduce Classic Randy Rhoads Les Paul Guitar

Brought to you from http://www.zebramusic.com, your web site for rock guitar lessons.

This is very cool!

Jimi Hendrix Flying V

Brought to you from http://www.zebramusic.com, your web site for rock guitar lessons.

Jimi Hendrix's Flying V guitar is among items gathered together to celebrate his time living in London, where he first found fame.

The "Flying Angel" Gibson Flying V guitar is the one on which he performed some of his most fantastic tunes at the Isle Of Wight in 1970, less than three weeks before his death.

Also in the Hendrix In Britain exhibition, which opens tomorrow at the Handel House Museum in London, are handwritten lyrics and distinctive clothing very cool to check out!
